All Hands on the Don – Riverside Murals
Request for Quotations

Overview

Quotes are currently invited from an artist(s) to deliver, on behalf of DCRT, a riverside mural within the Lower Don area, at a pre-selected location. The service is required as part of the All Hands on the Don project, which is primarily funded through a National Lottery Heritage Fund Grant.

We are looking for an artist to design and create a mural(s) at pre-selected riverside locations. The mural will celebrate the River Don and/or the watercourse to draw positive attention to it. Particularly of interest are the cultural, social, industrial, historic, and environmental aspects of the river. The artist will be required to work with the local community to produce the art, e.g., with schools, community groups, youth groups, uniformed groups (such as scouts), or as a summer holidays event for young people.

The deadline for the quote response is the 30th May 2025. The grant secured for this work is £3,000 per mural (exclusive of VAT).

Budget

The budget secured for this work is £3000 per mural (exclusive of VAT), and we would expect the tenderer to work within this budget and provide a breakdown of their costs.
