Bat Walk at Grassmoor Country Park

We will be looking for different species of bats, using bat detectors to hear their fantastic calls (which the human ear cannot detect!). Watch and learn how these incredible nocturnal predators hunt for prey and navigate around the landscape using a special kind of sonar.

    Please be prepared for a long hike of 6 miles (2.5 hours estimate at a medium walking speed)
    There will be a break mid-way for festive snacks.
    The riverside walk includes unpaved footpaths that can be muddy and steps.
    We'll be looking out for wildlife and historical points of interest along the way.
