Join the Don Catchment Rivers Trust as we work to remove litter from the Brook Dike in Wath-Upon-Dearne just upstream of the river Dearne. 

When: Thursday 27th March 2025, 10am – 1pm

Where: The public footpath entrance opposite 63 Moor Rd, Wath upon Dearne, Rotherham S63 7RS. There is free parking along Moor Road.

What to bring: We provide all of the equipment on the day however please wear suitable clothing for outdoor work including sturdy shoes or boots and long trousers. We can provide wellingtons to borrow on the day but please let us know in advance by emailing [email protected] to ensure we have your size. 

What to expect: We will be walking along the paths of the river, collecting litter and brining it back up to the road. The banks of the Dike along this footpath are steep and we will work as a team to collect litter from the Brook and on the opposite bank and bring them back up to road level. Those who are less confident on steeper gradients can stick to the footpath. We will have a break at 11:30 am for refreshments and biscuits, provided by DCRT.
