As part of the ‘Great Doncaster Lesstival’ the Danum, Gallery, Library, and Museum are hosting a FREE event for all ages to explore links to nature and thrifty sustainable ideas to support the environment.

Join us on Saturday 30th November 11am – 3pm to enjoy a mix of talks and activities.

A conversation with Chris looking at the history of the River Don alongside Chris’ career in waterways.  

How he championed change, helped the river recover and was a founding trustee of the Don Catchment Rivers Trust.

A facilitated discussion with Don Catchment Rivers Trust looking at environmental themes such as climate change and rivers. This session will explore ideas, experiences, and feelings surrounding these subjects and what actions we can take.

Explore and discover the minibeasts found in your local river with the Don Catchment Rivers Trust. What do these creatures tell us about the health of the river?

    Join us for a spring walk around Melton Wood in Doncaster. This one-off event is being held as part of the All Hands on the Don Lottery Funded project. Rebecca, our Project Assistant, will take us around the woods and show us the beautiful spring wildflowers.

     

    This is a great chance to learn more about plant identification together!

     

    Where: Meeting at the Melton Woods Country Park car park.

    When: 10 am start, with the walk lasting approximately 1.5 hours
