We are teaming up with the wonderful arts charity ‘Right up our Street’ on their full weekend of family activities in two of Doncaster’s best parks!

 

Saturday 19th August: Campsall Country Park

 

 

Come and see the Giant Puppet walkabout piece ‘Out of the Deep Blue’. (Performance will occur three times within the day).

There will also be free puppet-making workshops, Pond Dipping Activities from Don Catchment River Trust, Sport Activities from Get Doncaster Moving and face painting.

DCRT is bringing you a fun-packed afternoon of nature trails, bug-hunting and pond-dipping!

    Come and join us on World Fish Migration Day to learn more about fish migration on our urbanised rivers in Sheffield. Register online here to get free tickets. 

     

    This in-person event will focus on the work taking place by multiple partners to help fish migrate up and down our rivers, helping them to find the best habitat to feed, shelter, spawn and grow.

     

    You're welcome to drop in at any time over the course of the event between 10:30am and 2:30pm. During the day there will be organised walks to the nearby fish pass at Ball Street Bridge.

     

    There will also be two walks taking place during the day:

    Walk 1 - 10:45am to 11:30am - meet at Brearley Room, Kelham Island museum for a return walk to the local fish pass at Ball Street Bridge to hear about the work carried out to improve fish passage along the River Don. Limited spaces, please book here.

    Doncaster Festival of Colour: See like a Bee!

    We’ll be joining our partners Right Up Our Street on Sunday 26th May and Tuesday 28th May, 10am-4pm, as they host the incredible art experience, the Luminarium - Architects of Air, by Alan Parkinson, as part of the Doncaster Festival of Colour.

    After your visit, drop by our stall by the Doncaster Minster for crafts & creative activities. Find out how wildlife sees colour differently to humans, experience seeing like a bee in UV and try writing secret messages…
