Join the Friends of the Don Valley Way as we work with the Friends of Shircliffe to clean up the Shircliffe Brook as it runs through Flockton Park.

We wil be meeting at 10am in the small car park off Beaver Hill Road and finishing at 1pm. There will be a break half way through for refreshments. We will complete a risk assessment on the day to assure the safety of all our volunteers. Please wear appropriate outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear. On the day we will be providing wellies and waders for people to borrow however we have a limited amount of sizes so please bring sturdy footwear.

    Sheffield & Rotherham Wildlife Trust, DCRT and the friends of Wardsend Cemetery have teamed up to collect Data for Nature as part of the Heritage Lottery Funded Data for Nature project.

    We'll be hosting two butterfly surveys this summer in the Cemetery and on the riverside to help collect data and monitor wildlife in the area

    If you have butterfly ID  skills we'd really appreciate your help surveying, or if you are a beginner come along to practise your skills!

    Join the Friends of the Don Valley Way as we work to clean up in and around the Meers Brook close to Blackstock Road.

    On the day we will be meeting at 10am and finishing at 1pm. We will complete a risk assessment on the day to ensure the safety of all volunteers. We will be stopping half way through for a tea break. On the day you will need to bring appropriate outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear. We can provide wellingtons and waders however we won’t be able to provide footwear for every volunteer.

    On the day we will be meeting at 10am and finishing at 1pm. We will meet in the park on the far side of the allotments off North Street. We will complete a risk assessment on the day to ensure the safety of all volunteers. We will be stopping half way through for a tea break. On the day you will need to bring appropriate outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear. We can provide wellingtons and waders however we won’t be able to provide footwear for every volunteer.

We will complete a risk assessment on the day to ensure the safety of all volunteers. We will be stopping half way through for a tea break. On the day you will need to bring appropriate outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear. We can provide wellingtons and waders however we won’t be able to provide footwear for every volunteer.

    Join the Friends of the Don Valley Way as we litter pick along the footpaths of the River Don at Meadow Way in Swinton.

    On the day we will be meeting at 10am and finishing at 1pm. We will complete a risk assessment on the day to ensure the safety of all volunteers. We will be stopping half way through for a tea break. On the day you will need to bring appropriate outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear. We can provide wellingtons and waders however we won’t be able to provide footwear for every volunteer.

    Join the Friends of the Don VAlley Way as we remove litter from the Swinton Breks and remove overgrown vegetation from the foot path.

    We will be meeting at 10am just off Lawrence Drive and finishing at 1pm. Half way through there will be a break for refreshments. Please weafr suitable clothing for outdoor work. If you would like to borrow waders or Wellingtons they will be provided on the day.
