Somersall Park – Fishery Volunteer Day (must book)

11-01-22 10:00 - 13:00
Somersall Park
Address: Cannot determine address at this location.

Join Don Catchment Rivers Trust for a volunteer day on the Rother catchment.

Tasks include: Habitat creation by tree hinging (hedge laying trees into the river channel)

To compliment the large woody debris we installed here last year we will be doing some smaller improvements to the river by essentially hedgelaying marginal trees into the channel to create cover for young fish. Volunteers will need to wear waders and enter the river channel for this task. We will be using small pruning saws to cut the trees. We will provide full equipement and training on the day – no experience is necessary.

Timings: 10am – 1pm (break 11.30am)

There are a limited number of places for this day, please book in advance on using event brite this link – https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/somersall-park-volunteer-day-fishery-tickets-211589930177

If you’re struggling to book on please contact us via email at [email protected] or phone on 01302 439081.

We will be following all Government guidelines relating to COVID 19 at the time of the event.
