Derbyshire Wildlife Trust are hosting a FREE dog and family fun day this summer at The Avenues Country Park in Chesterfield on Sunday 11th August.
Come along with (or without!) your dog and enjoy the community spirit, connect with nature and learn more about good dog/owner etiquette.
There will be various activities including:
- Dog show
- Supervised agility
- Dog/family outdoor photoshoot area
- Workshops including confidence about dogs
- Local stalls
- Bushcraft
- Bird box making
- Wildlife themes activities
- Nature connection activities
DCRT will be present with out very own stall. We will be conducting pond dipping sessions where families can go and explore what critters live in the ponds in the park. We will also be hosting a pollution tabletop demonstration, showing you what activities pollute our waterways, particularly dogs (as is sticking with the event theme)! Come and say hi at our stall to learn more about your local nature and see what volunteering opportunities we have near you!
