Waymarking and cleanup Day – Don Valley Way

Task: Join the Friends of the Don Valley Way for a volunteer Day in Swinton, Rotherham
We will be starting with an hours litter pick at Swinton Dike, followed by a tea-break and then go on to waymark the Swinton Heritage Walk.

 

Location: We will be meeting on the playing fields at Swinton Dike
Please park in the spaces on North Street ( S64 8AZ) by the allotments. From North street head up the footpath between the allotments to the playing fields where we will start our event.

Times: 10am-1pm

 

What to bring: Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and footwear on the day. 
Hot drinks are provided but please bring plenty of drinking water and your lunch if you’ll need it

    Join the Don Catchment Rivers Trust as we work to improve the footpath that runs along side Langthwaite Dike buy clearing removing litter from the dike. This day is a part of the All Hands on the Don project.

    When: Tuesday 16th April 2024 10am – 1pm

    What to Bring: We provide all of the equipment on the day however please wear suitable clothing for outdoor work including sturdy shoes or boots and long trousers.
