Please go through the gate to the fisheries\, it will open automatically as you drive up to it. This comes from Ingbirchworth Reservoir and has a bank of balsam that we would like to tackle before it gets to the reservoir. There is space for about four vehicles (double parked) at a gravel lay by linked below\, and a couple more spaces at the picnic area entrance here. SUMMARY:Priory Farm – Balsam Bash
DESCRIPTION:Join the Don Catchment Rivers Trust at Priory Farm in Renishaw to help remove the invasive plant species Himalayan balsam. Himalayan Balsam outcompetes native flora and results in bare river banks over winter which can increase erosion and flood risk. We’ll be pulling out the plants and snapping above the roots to prevent regrowth. This work goes hand in hand with our efforts to slow flows through the woods at Priory farm using leaky barriers of varying shapes and sizes. \nSpaces are limited so please book on to this event using the Eventbrite link below. \nPLEASE NOTE: This event is weather dependent as the site floods. DESCRIPTION:Join the Don Catchment Rivers Trust to remove litter from in and around the Dalton Brook. Dalton Parish Council have kindly invited us to use the facilities in their hall. They have a community cafe from 9-12pm so feel free to come along early to enjoy some refreshments. \n  \nTask: Litter picking. We will be working along the bankside and within the brook to remove litter. The paths are paved but can be muddy.
