On this occasion\, we will not be entering the river but will be working to collect all the rags and plastic that have collected in the trees along the path after storm Claudia back in November. \nWhen: Thursday 8th January 2026\, 10am – 1pm \nWhere: Meeting at the end of Holbeck Close\, Chesterfield\, S41 7UL \nWhat 3 Words: https://w3w.co/blame.headed.backs \nGoogle Maps Pin: https://maps.app.goo.gl/51obAnnohHvHAXET8 \nPARKING – please note there is no parking on Holbeck Close\, however pay-by-machine (cash-only) parking is available at the Brimington Road Car Park nearby. \nPUBLIC TRANSPORT – it is a short walk from Chesterfield Railway Station. \nWhat to bring: We provide all of the equipment on the day however please wear suitable clothing for outdoor work including sturdy shoes or boots and long trousers. We can provide wellingtons to borrow on the day but please let us know in advance by emailing volunteer@dcrt.org.uk to ensure we have your size. \nWhat to expect: We will be walking along the paths along the river\, collecting litter and brining it back up to the road. We will have a break at 11:30 am for refreshments and biscuits\, provided by DCRT. \nJoining us? All are welcome however not all of our sites are completely accessible to all\, please check the access advice below.
