DESCRIPTION:Join us as we work to install 2 information pannels in Hexthorpe. This day is a part of the All Hands on the Don project. \nWhen: Tuesday 4th August 2026 10am-1pm \nWhere: We will be meeting near the entrance to Hexthorpe Park. Adress: 209 Urban Rd\, Doncaster DN4 0HH Google Maps Pin: https://maps.app.goo.gl/WUNo8p2N3FqbowqT9 What 3 words: ///create.keeps.panel \nWhat are we doing? We will be working to install a new informatrion pannel on the bank of the river don to allow the public to learn about the history of the area. If there is time we will install a second pannel in a different part of Hexthorpe. \nWhat to bring: We provide all of the equipment on the day\, however please wear suitable clothing for outdoor work including sturdy shoes or boots and long trousers. We can provide wellingtons to borrow on the day\, but please let us know in advance by emailing volunteer@dcrt.org.uk or contacting Volunteering Officer Anthony Cox. Please bring your own packed lunch if you would like to stay for the whole day. \nJoining us? All are welcome\, however not all of our sites are completely accessible \, please check the access advice below. DESCRIPTION:Join the Don Catchment Rivers Trust as we help to remove the invasive plant species Himalayan Balsam from the River Don off Water Hall Lane \n  \nWhen: Tuesday 4th August\, 10am – 1pm \n  \nWhere: We will be working along the River Don upstream of Water Hall Lane which is the western boundary of Watermeadows Park. Water Hall Lane itself is a private road. The DCRT van will be parked outside of Water Hall House on Water Hall Lane with landowner permission. Please meet us there on foot and park elsewhere. There is lots of free on street parking nearby.\nWhat 3 Words: https://w3w.co/meanders.flanked.slimmer\nGoogle Maps Pin: https://maps.app.goo.gl/WK1wiJCL2k8M8uFSA \n  \nWhat to expect: We will be working along banks of the River Don\, pulling up Himalayan Balsam and leaving it in piles once we have snaped or crushed it below the bottom node. There are no public footpaths as we will be on private land. Therefore\, paths are unpaved and mostly on grassland and rocky river banks. We will have a break for refreshments and biscuits\, provided by DCRT. \n  \nWhat to bring: We provide all of the equipment on the day however please wear suitable clothing for outdoor work including sturdy shoes or boots and long trousers. Even if it is warm weather\, it is advisable to cover up to protect against spiky plants and stings. We will likely be wearing waders which we can lend out. \n  \nJoining us? All are welcome however not all of our sites are completely accessible to all\, please check the access advice below.
