Rachel joined Don Catchment Rivers Trust as Community Engagement Officer for the Living Heritage of the River Don project. She lives in Goole, a town that owes its existence to the 17th century diversion of the Don in to the ‘Dutch River’.
She studied for a BA in Archaeology, and completed a Masters Degree in Archaeological Heritage Management at the University of York.
From university Rachel began a career in Museums. She has had varied roles within the sector, but always with a focus on industrial heritage, waterways and community engagement. She has worked for the Yorkshire Waterways Museum and Sheffield Industrial Museums Trust.
Rachel joined the Don Catchment Rivers Trust from Canal & River Trust, where she worked as Pocklington Canal Development Officer.
