Jenny Palmer – Agricultural Officer

Jenny joined the Trust in 2021.  She co-facilitates the Dearne Valley Farmer Cluster group and works as the Catchment Officer for the National Highways Little Don Natural Flood Management Fund project. She also offers landowners a Countryside Stewardship scheme advice and support service.

Jenny has over 10 years’ experience working in agri-environment delivery, assessment and advisory roles. Jenny has a degree in Geography, awarded from the University of Nottingham, and a postgraduate certificate in Ecological Survey Techniques. Additionally, Jenny has a BASIS Foundation Award in Agronomy and a PRINCE2 Project Management foundation certificate. In 2023, she is continuing her training and studying for a BASIS Certificate in Soil and Water Management.

In her spare time, Jenny enjoys helping on the family farm, playing the piano, poetry, travelling, running and skiing. Her dog Ted is unlikely to be far away. She also enjoys supporting her local community, particularly with environmental initiatives, and she is a member of her village’s playing field committee.
