On Tuesday 21st May 2013 Mr Steve Hustler, Facilities Director of Meadowhall Shopping Centre officially opened the new multi-species fish and eel pass on the River Don at Hadfields Weir, Meadowhall.
Mr Hustler said he was pleased that British Land and Meadowhall were part of the project and commented on the amount of attention that the fishpass and the interpretation board attracted from passing shoppers.
Chris Firth MBE, trustee and director of DCRT said a few words before everyone retired to the Management Suite for a buffet that was kindly laid on by Meadowhall Shopping Centre.
