    Learn to detect bats - Evening Training, Sprotbrough, 6pm-9.15pm
    An evening course delivered by Principal Ecologist and bat expert Robert Bell on how to identify, record and survey the bat species found around the rivers in the Don Catchment area using bat detectors. 
    The evening will finish with a dusk bat walk along the river Don, where we will practise using bat detectors to identify different species by their characteristic sounds.

     

    Course Schedule:
    6pm                                    Arrival and food/light bites
    6.15pm-8.15pm                Indoor training talk on Surveying Bats by Robert Bell
    8.15pm-9.15pm                Outdoor bat walk trying bat detectors (this part of the training will only be held in dry weather)

     

    Access:
    The training room has a ramp and wheelchair access.
    The walk will be in the dark, along a paved riverside footpath, lanterns will be provided.
