Smithy Brook NFM Feasibility Study
DCRT is inviting quotes for an NFM feasibility study of the Smithy Brook Catchment in Renishaw, North East Derbyshire, the outputs of which will be used to:
- Determine whether catchment wide NFM could have a measurable impact on reducing downstream flood risk
- Identify priority intervention types and locations
- Inform funding applications for subsequent delivery of NFM measures
Funding of up to £23,000 + VAT is available for this project which needs to be delivered by March 2027.
Barnby Furnace Weir Removal: RIBA Stage 4 Technical Design

Don Catchment Rivers Trust invites tenders from suitably qualified consultants to deliver the RIBA Stage 4 Technical Design and Principal Designer services for the removal of Barnby Furnace Weir on Silkstone Beck, Barnsley. The project will restore fish passage, reconnect approximately 7 km of river habitat, and deliver wider river restoration and biodiversity benefits. The commission includes final design development, surveys, environmental assessments, consent support, and production of construction-ready documentation.

Beighton Mill Weir Fish Pass Project - Feasibility Study Tender

Staveley Upper Weir: Feasibility, Design and Consents Brief

Don Catchment Rivers Trust is seeking quotations for consultancy support for the Staveley Upper Weir Fish Passage Project on the River Rother in Staveley, Chesterfield.
The commission covers feasibility, surveys, design development, consenting support evidence and construction-ready design information for the potential removal of Staveley Upper Weir. Consultants will also provide the surveys, modelling and analysis needed to support a Flood Risk Activity Permit; preparation and submission of the FRAP itself will be undertaken by the landowner.
