Fishery – Working with Communities

Want to get involved with conserving the Don Catchment’s fishery?

We have a number of ways you can help out.

Practical Conservation Days

Slip into a pair of waders and lend a hand on one of our regular fishery volunteer days. Think tree felling, saws, mallets… These can be physically demanding days but there should be tasks for all abilities to get involved.

Riverfly Monitoring

Help us understand water quality in our rivers by becoming a riverfly monitor.

Fish Pass Maintenance Check

During the summer months, we check fish passes when the river is low, to assess their integrity. It’s a great way to get in the river and learn about fish passage.

Report your Salmon Sightings

Spotted a salmon?

Let us know via our Salmon Recorder.

Keep an eye out on our calendar or email [email protected] to find out what events we’ve got planned.
