Soak Up Nature: Riverside Foraging

Join James Kendall from the Woodland Classroom who will be teaching us all about what we can forage at this time of year on the riverside. We’ll even learn a novel way of removing invasive species… eating them!

    As part of DCRT’s All Hands on the Don project, we are delighted to open our latest Photography Competition

    The River Don is a river back from the dead. It’s time to stop being down about the past industrial degradation of the Don and start celebrating – injecting positivity into a wonderful river that is special for its wildlife, history, and communities! Participants are also invited to join a free photography workshop, led by photographer Wendy Turner.

     

    Where: Sprotbrough, Doncaster DN5 7LA

    When: 3:00pm-6:00pm

     

    What to bring: A camera will be necessary, mobile phone cameras will be okay. Bring walking boots or wellies that you don’t mind getting a bit muddy! Please dress for the weather as it will be an outdoor workshop.

     

    What to expect: Photographer Wendy Turner will lead a workshop teaching you about different photography techniques and camera settings, which you will then get to test out at a lovely natural site in Sprotbrough. Tea, coffee, and biscuits will be provided!
