All equipment will be provided but please wear warm clothes, sturdy shoes and bring waterproofs.

We will bring the tea, coffee and biscuits! We offer volunteer expenses for public transport and vehicle mileage.

Meeting point: At the end of Northfield Road, Rotherham, S60 1RR. We will be working on the footpath by the canal.

Led by Russ Headley this walk will involve a stroll through Sprotborough Flash and the Don Gorge, identifying the wildflowers and grasses we come across along the way. Suitable for beginners.

Come and join our clean-up of this littered water-course! We’ll be removing the dead trees, debris and litter from the river. Wear practical clothing and sturdy shoes, wellies or waders will be needed to work in the water.

10am-2pm, with a break for refreshments!

Directions: Meeting on the Manvers College land (access by walking up the footpath at the junction between north street and wood street, between the allotments). At the end of the footpath cross over the small foot-bridge, our gazebo base-camp will be on the right. See map for more details.
