We are offering a free accredited first-aid course as part of our volunteer training programme, delivered by an experienced River-Mountain-Experience trainer! Trainees must be available for either the first (1 day certificate) or both days of the course (extended 2 day certificate).

The first day will focus on Emergency first Aid such as the recovery position & delivering CPR.  The second day will concentrate on more outdoor focused first-aid including applying bandages and splints, keeping people warm and assessing injured people.

Meeting Point: In the ASDA car park in Dalton, meet in the overflow car park near the recycling bins, near the entrance to Aldwarke Lock.

Time: 10am-1pm

Please wear suitable outdoor clothing including long trousers, long sleeves, sturdy boots and waterproofs if necessary. We will be litter-picking and making improvements to the fence.
