Sign-up to our Water Plant Identification workshop with ecologist Julie Riley along the Chesterfield Canal.

This training is perfect for beginners, those with an interest in plants or those wanting to improve their botany skills. We will be using field guides and fold-out charts to help identify the in-channel and marginal plant species we come across.

The day will run 10am – 12.30pm. We will start and finish at the Hollingwood Hub, Chesterfield, S43 2PF. We will provide free refreshments during break and will have lunch after the session so feel free to bring a packed lunch alternatively Katey’s Coffee Shop will be open if you wanted to buy something.

Access is very good along the canal towpath for those with restricted mobility.

To sign up please download a volunteer training booking form (here) and send it to [email protected]. Non-DCRT volunteers will be charged a nominal fee of £10 to join onto the training.
