Balsam Bash - Chapel on the Bridge
Join the Friends of the Don Valley Way as they remove the Himalayan Balsam from your river in the center of Rotherham. There may also be litter picking if there is little Balsam left.
We will be meeting at 10am and finishing at 1pm with a short break for refreshments in the middle of the day. Please wear suitable clothing and footwear for outside work. Wellies and waders will be provided on the day.

Brook Explorers at Monkey Park
Monkey Park134 Chester St, Chesterfield S40 1DL, UKJoin the Don Catchment Rivers Trust and Monkey Park for a month of wonderfully wild activities, every week throughout August (1-3pm).
Summer Holiday fun at Monkey Park, suitable for children aged 4-11 years. Each child must be supervised by an adult guardian, families are welcome.
Attendees will get a voucher for a free drink & cake to enjoy after the event at the Monkey Park cafe.

Ravenside Retail (Debenhams) Volunteer Day
Ravenside Retail (debenhams)6 New St, Chesterfield S40 2JZ, UKJoin Don Catchment Rivers Trust for a volunteer day cleaning-up the Holme Brook. All abilities welcome!
Location: Park Road end, on the footpath just behind Debenhams
What to bring: We will provide all necessary equipment and refreshments. All you need to wear is appropriate outdoor clothing (waterproof, long sleeves and trousers) and sturdy shoes.
Tasks include: Litter picking, debris removal, vegetation maintenance, invasive species management and access improvements.
Timings: Day runs 10am – 1pm but feel free to come whenever suits. We have a tea break around 11.30am.
