    Industrial Nature Riverside Walk

    10:00 -13:00
    02-07-21

On this walk we explore Grassmoor Country park and the nearby Avenue Washlands, two historically industrial areas that have been reclaimed for nature and people.

Find out how restoring floodplains can increase flood storage and help to ’slow the flow’ of our rivers. Admire the wildlife that has returned and flourished in these once heavily industrialised areas.

Walk grading – 6 mile walk, leisurely (walks for reasonably fit people with at least a little country walking experience).
