Meadow Sowing at Grassmoor Country Park

We’ll be sowing meadow seed onto the newly created features in the park that will help slow the flow of storm waters into the river network and diversify the wildlife habitat within the park.When: Sunday 16th October, 10am-1.00pm

Data4Nature at Wardsend Cemetery: Bird Survey
Wardsend Cemetery1A Club Mill Rd, Sheffield S6 2FH, UKSheffield & Rotherham Wildlife Trust, DCRT and the friends of Wardsend Cemetery have teamed up to collect Data for Nature as part of the Heritage Lottery Funded Data for Nature project.
We’ll be hosting monthly bird surveys in the Cemetery and on the riverside to help collect data and monitor birdlife in the area
If you have birding skills we’d really appreciate your help surveying, or if you are a beginner come along to practise your skills!

Bentley Mill - Volunteer Day
Bentley Mill DikeLimbreck Court, Bentley,Doncaster DN5 0HRJoin the Friends of the Don Valley Way and Litter Free Team as we work to clean the Bentley Mill Dike. We will be working both in the channel and along the banks of the stream.
Meeting point: Green space next to Limbreck court, Bentley, Doncaster (opposite Lidl)

Parking: Parking is on Limbreck Court road. There is other on street parking in the area and free parking at the pavilion. Just be careful when crossing the busy main road!
Waders, life jackets and protective gear is provided to volunteers. If you are litter picking around the river (not wading) we recommend wearing sturdy shoes and clothing suitable for outdoor work. All waders and shoes are cleaned at the end of the day.
