What to bring: We will provide all necessary equipment and refreshments. All you need to wear is appropriate outdoor clothing (waterproof, long sleeves and trousers) and sturdy shoes.
Tasks include: Tweaks to flood alleviation scheme such as digging and forming a new spillway, repairing temporary fencing, installing a gate and fence

Chapel on the Bridge - Volunteer Day
Cannot determine address at this location.Join the Friends of the Don Valley Way as we work to clear in and around the Don at Chapel on the Bridge in Rotherham.
On the day we will be meeting at 10am and finishing at 1pm. We will complete a risk assessment on the day to ensure the safety of all volunteers. We will be stopping half way through for a tea break. On the day you will need to bring appropriate outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear. We can provide wellingtons and waders however we won’t be able to provide footwear for every volunteer.

Hollingwood Loops - Volunteer Day
Hollingwood loops (New Whittington)New Whittington, Chesterfield S43 2BZJoin the Don Catchment Rivers Trust for a volunteer day to improve walking routes along River Rother. All abilities welcome!
Timings: 10am – 3pm with a break in the morning and for lunch. Feel free to come to part of the day if required.
What to bring: We will provide all necessary equipment and refreshments. All you need to wear is appropriate outdoor clothing and sturdy shoes. Bring lunch if you’re staying out the whole day.
Tasks include:We’ll be doing some vegetation clearance along a riverside path using hand tools. We’ll also be doing our usual sweep with a litter picker.

Bentley Mill - Volunteer Day
Bentley Mill DikeLimbreck Court, Bentley,Doncaster DN5 0HRJoin the Friends of the Don Valley Way and Litter Free Team as we work to clean the Bentley Mill Dike. We will be working both in the channel and along the banks of the stream.

Parking: Parking is on Limbreck Court road. There is other on street parking in the area and free parking at the pavilion. Just be careful when crossing the busy main road!
Waders, life jackets and protective gear is provided to volunteers. If you are litter picking around the river (not wading) we recommend wearing sturdy shoes and clothing suitable for outdoor work. All waders and shoes are cleaned at the end of the day.
