Data4Nature at Wardsend Cemetery: Bird Survey
Wardsend Cemetery1A Club Mill Rd, Sheffield S6 2FH, UKSheffield & Rotherham Wildlife Trust, DCRT and the friends of Wardsend Cemetery have teamed up to collect Data for Nature as part of the Heritage Lottery Funded Data for Nature project.
We’ll be hosting monthly bird surveys in the Cemetery and on the riverside to help collect data and monitor birdlife in the area
If you have birding skills we’d really appreciate your help surveying, or if you are a beginner come along to practise your skills!

Book a place for your little ones here– Decorate a beautiful apple bird feeder to take home
– Add sauce and toppings to create a tasty mini-pizza for the birds
– Use our bird spotter sheets to look for birds by the riverChildren must be supervised by a parent/guardian at all times. Suitable for children age 5+, Families welcome.

What to bring: We will provide all necessary equipment and refreshments. All you need to wear is appropriate outdoor clothing (waterproof, long sleeves and trousers) and sturdy shoes.
Tasks include: Litter picking, channel debris/litter removal, bird box construction.
Timings: 10am – 1pm (break 11.30am)
