PUBLIC TRANSPORT – the day is a short walk from Chesterfield Railway Station.What to bring: We provide all of the equipment on the day however please wear suitable clothing for outdoor work including sturdy shoes or boots and long trousers. We can provide wellingtons to borrow on the day but please let us know in advance by emailing [email protected] to ensure we have your size.
What to expect: We will be walking along the paths along the river, collecting litter and brining it back up to the road. We will have a break at 11:30 am for refreshments and biscuits, provided by DCRT.

Watch and learn how these incredible nocturnal predators hunt for prey and navigate around the landscape using a special kind of sonar.
We will be looking for different species of bats, using bat detectors to hear their fantastic calls (which the human ear cannot detect!).
