Hollingwood Loop - Balsam Bash
Hollingwood loops (New Whittington)New Whittington, Chesterfield S43 2BZJoin the Don Catchment Rivers Trust as we help to remove the invasive plant species Himalayan Balsam from the banks of the River Rother. This involves hand pulling the plant, snapping it below its first node to stop regrowth and leaving it in piles.
When: Thursday 26th June 2025 10am-1pm
Where: 216-232 South Street North, New Whittington, Chesterfield S43 2BY. There is free on street parking.

We can provide wellingtons to borrow on the day but please let us know in advance by emailing [email protected] or contacting task leader Charlotte Landry-Jennings. We also provide refreshments through a tea break on these regular volunteer days.
