Join the Don Catchment Rivers Trust as we help to clean up along the tow path of the canal and the river. 

When: Thursday 26th March 2026, 10am-1pm.

Where: We will be meeting on Stonerow Way (next to the bridge over the railway), Parkgate, Rotherham S60 1SG

There is a small amount of free parking adjacent to the footbridge.

What to bring: We provide all of the equipment on the day however please wear suitable clothing for outdoor work including sturdy shoes or boots and long trousers. We can provide wellingtons to borrow on the day but please let us know in advance by emailing [email protected] to ensure we have your size. 

What to expect: We will be walking along the paths by the river and canal, collecting litter and brining it back up to the road. The site involves two bridges (one over the railway/tram and one over the canal) so a note to consider the height of the bridges and fitness required to carry bags over both bridges. We will have a break at 11:30 am for refreshments and biscuits, provided by DCRT.
