Join the Don Catchment Rivers Trust to prune hedgerows at the farm adjacent to the River Rother. This well help them grow back fuller, retaining more water and supporting greater biodiversity.
Task: Vegetation management. Pruning hawthorn, blackthorne etc using loppers, saws, shears. We will also need to remove the tree guards present from when we planted them a few years ago.
When: Thursday 6th February 2025, 10am - 1pm
Where: Farmland off Ave Farm track, on the east side of the river.
Please note there is limited parking available at the meeting point. If you intend to drive it would be greatly appreciated if you could park nearby and walk to the meeting point. The Avenue Country Park car park is about a 15 minute walk away (see map below). A DCRT staff member will be in the Avenues car park at 9.45am to show people the way so please be there in time to meet them if you would like to walk together to the meeting point.
