About the training:
The structure of this one-day course will involve a short classroom session followed by a visit to the river to see how to put what you’ve learned into practise. You’ll learn such things as how to place woody debris in the channel allowing the river to create microhabitats for spawning fish and invertebrates. This course is aimed at beginners and volunteers working in river management as well as anyone wanting to improve their knowledge.

Training is free but please note that volunteers and staff to DCRT and relevant organisation will be given priority. To sign up please download a Volunteer training booking form
