Join us as we work to clear vegitation from the path along the banks of the River Rother at New Whittington.
When: Thursday 1st October 2026 10am – 1pm
Where: We will be meeting at the corner of South Street North and Stavley Road, New Whittington, Chesterfield S43 2B.

What are we doing: We will we working along the footpath next to the river towards Barrow Hill clearing overgrown vegitaqtion to ensure the path is passable. This section of footpath is a part of the Hollingwood Hoop Cricular Walk.
What to bring: We provide all of the equipment on the day, however please wear suitable clothing for outdoor work including sturdy shoes or boots and long trousers. We can provide wellingtons to borrow on the day, but please let us know in advance by emailing [email protected] or contacting Volunteering Officer Anthony Cox. Please bring your own packed lunch if you would like to stay for the whole day.
