Join us on the 16th Oct in the Loxley Valley as we clear the footpath around Skyehouse Brook. We’ll be using hand tools to clear vegetation and improve access along the brook and footpath.
When: Thursday 16th October 2026 10am – 1pm
Where: We will be focusing our efforts on the Sykehouse Brook, a tributary of the River Loxley above the Water Treatment Works and the old Brickworks. There is limited parking at Loxley Fisheries (here) or you can park along the derelict site at your own discretion (here). Please car share/cycle/use public transport where possible.
We will be meeting at the Loxley Fisheries car park, Storrs Bridge Ln, Sheffield S6 6SX

What to bring: We provide all of the equipment on the day however please wear suitable clothing for outdoor work including sturdy shoes or boots and long trousers. Even if it is warm weather, it is advisable to cover up to protect against spiky plants and stings. We can provide wellingtons to borrow on the day but please let us know in advance by emailing [email protected] to ensure we have your size.
What are we doing: we will be using hand tools to clear the brook and footpath. we will be using hand tools such as loppers, shears, rakes, etc.
