They are creating a community tapestry made up of fabric squares decorated by the local community. The event is designed to help the community reflect on coronavirus and what helped them during the lockdowns. DCRT is hosting our own riverside ‘Sew a Square’ event at Monkey Park, where you can come and make your own squares for the museum tapestry. It will be a fun session where we can get crafting, have a cup of tea, and talk to each other about what has helped us through the pandemic. The day will be split into a morning (10:00 – 12:00) and an afternoon (13:00 – 15:00) session. Each session is limited to 15 people. To book onto the morning or afternoon session please go to: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/sew-a-square-monkey-park-tickets-160795197765 Everyone is welcome. The event is free and all crafting materials will be supplied.
