    Time: 10am-1pm with a break for refreshments.

    Please wear suitable clothing for outdoor work including long trousers,  long sleeves, sturdy boots and waterproofs if necessary and wellies if you have them.     Explore the ancient Canklow Woods in Rotherham on this wild day out for nature enthusiasts, children and families!

    Visitors can discover colourful mushrooms and sensational toadstools with ecologist, Julie Riley, who is leading a guided walk around the historical woodland, starting at 10am from the entrance on Lawton Lane lasting around 2-hours.

    Parking will be available at the end of Lawton Lane, S60 2UH.

    Please note there will be no toilets available at the walk. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Note this walk is aimed at beginners and those looking to improve their identification skills of fungi and toad stools. This is not an edible mushroom foraging walk.

    This is a free event, funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund as part of Don Catchment Rivers Trust’s ‘Living Heritage of the River Don’ Project.
