Join the Don Catchment Rivers Trust and the Friends of the Blue Loop as we help to clean up litter on Walk Mill Island in the River Don.
DCRT are teaming up with Friends of the Blue Loop who look after the stretch of river from Victoria Quays to Meadowhall. We will be using a ladder to go down the wall onto Walk Mill Island at Effingham Street, and hauling up the litter using ropes and ton sacs. Confidence/competence to use the ladder is required for this activity.
For this event, please book on via Eventbrite, even if you are an existing volunteer. All are welcome to attend, this will just help us gauge how much equipment we need.
When: Wednesday 26th June 2024, 10am-1pm.
Where: We will be meeting at the junction of Effingham Street and Furnival Road, S10 1AA. Free parking is available on Effingham Street.
