Natural flood management – leaky dam maintenance

Join DCRT on a volunteer morning to identify and carry out maintenance works of leaky dams installed in the woods that help to slow the flow of storm waters. Likely tasks will be clearing debris and sediment from behind any blocked dams, adding more leaky woody material to dams that need building back up and recording any bigger jobs for future volunteer days.

Timing: 10am – 1pm (refreshment break provided by DCRT at 11.30)

Location: Newfield Spring Woods, Moss Valley, Sheffield
