Habbitat Scheme Maitenance – Fishlake

Join us as we work to secure the coir matting and fencing that was installed during our recent habbitat scheme at Great Ings.

Where: Great Ings, Fishlake
Meeting at: On-street parking on Main Street down from the pub/church
What three words: ///heaven.abode.portfolio
Google maps link: click here

When: 10am-1pm

What to expect: We will be walking onto the site and crossing over a small wire fence. We will then be using mallets to hammer in bamboo pegs to secure the existing coir matting which will protect the overspill and allow the vegitation to re-establish itself. If we have time we will also work to secure the fence by using a maul to knock the posts in a bit more.

Joining us? All are welcome however not all of our sites are completely accessible to all, please check the access advice below. Please let us know if you are coming as a new volunteer so we can plan accordingly by emailing [email protected] or contacting project Volunteering Officer Anthony Cox 07384543124.
