9 | 10 - River Rescue – Friends of the Don Valley Way – Hartley Brook
10:00 -13:00 10-03-20 185 Butterthwaite Rd, Sheffield S5 0AT, UK  Join the Friends of the Don Valley Way as we remove liter and other debris from the Hartley Brook. We will be meeting at 10am at the bottom of the path from Butterwaite Road, and finishing at 1pm with a break half way through for refreshments. | 11 - Citizen Science Training: Introduction to Freshwater Invertebrates & Mayflies
10:00 -12:00 11-03-20 0 Sheepbridge Ln, Dunston Rd, Chesterfield S41 9QD, UK  Two 1-hour training sessions which will introduce you to the freshwater invertebrates we encounter in the river. Beginner level. 10am-11am: Introduction to Freshwater Invertebrates (presentation and practical microscope work), led by Sally Hyslop 11am-12pm: The Mayflies (presentation and practical microscope work), led by Paul Hancock. Microscopes and ID guides will be on hand for identification. Refreshments provided.

10:00 -15:00 18-03-20 1 Ridgeway Moor, Ridgeway, Sheffield S12 3XY, UK  Join the Don Catchment Rivers Trust for Wildlife Wednesday’s in the Moss Valley every third Wednesday of the month. These volunteer days aimed at restoring the riverine environment. All abilities welcome! Timings: 10am – 3pm with a break for lunch and refreshments. Feel free to come to part of the day if required. What to bring: We will provide all necessary equipment and refreshments. All you need to wear is appropriate outdoor clothing and sturdy shoes. Tasks include: scrub/vegetation clearance, wood debris placement, footpath maintenance, habitat creation and access improvements. Location: The meeting point will change each week depending on what task we will be doing.
