Spital Trail - Clean Up
Clayton StreetSpital Trail, Chesterfield S41 0HQ, UKJoin the Don Catchment Rivers Trust as we work to remove debris from the River Hipper and along the Spital Trail. This session will involve in-channel work.
When: Thursday 13th November 2025, 10am – 1pm

We can provide wellingtons to borrow on the day but please let us know in advance by emailing [email protected] to ensure we have your size.
What to expect: We will entering the river under the railway bridge to collect litter and large items in the watercourse. DCRT will provide waders, life jackets etc for this. For those who prefer to stay on land, a team can litter pick along the footpaths of the Spital Trail. These footpaths can be muddy after rainfall events so please wear sturdy shoes. We will have a break at 11:30 am for refreshments and biscuits, provided by DCRT.
