Join the Don Catchment Rivers Trust to cut back vegetation along the banks of the River Don and at the entrance to Wardsend Cemetery Heritage Park. 

Task: Vegetation management. Cutting back vegetation along the steep banks of the river to improve viewpoint over the watercourse and manage invasive species. We will be using loppers, saws, shears etc. We will then make habitat piles using the brash.

When: Thursday 27th November 2025, 10am – 1pm

What to bring: We provide all of the equipment on the day (hand tools, gloves etc) however please wear suitable clothing for outdoor work including sturdy shoes or boots and long trousers. We can provide wellingtons to borrow on the day but please let us know in advance by emailing [email protected].
