We can provide wellingtons to borrow on the day but please let us know in advance by emailing [email protected] to ensure we have your size.
What to expect: The river bank coming off Stoke Street and adjacent to the footpath is very steep and is unfortunately susceptible to fly tipping. We will be working to remove the large items from the top of the bank to avoid them ending up in the river. The bank here is very steep and will require agility and confidence in you own footwork to navigate. We will use a rope to help ourselves should we need it but please bear the site conditions in mind. Once you get down the bank there are flatter sections and we will work as a team to carry items back up to the road. If you would like to come along but do not feel comfortable on the steep banking, there are sections of the road that can be litter picked too. We will have a break at 11:30 am for refreshments and biscuits, provided by DCRT. There are no nearby public toilets.
