Around nine thousand elvers were released in to reedbeds at RSPB Old Moor wetlands today.  Pupils from St Michael & All Angels (Wombwell) and Sacred Heart (Goldthorpe)  released about 200-300 each in to suitable habitat, most preferring to have them poured through their hands!
