Don Valley Way Volunteer Day: Doncaster litter-pick
Meeting Point: Meet on the Power Station road bridge (please note the bridge is closed on the north side, access is only available through Marshgate, follow the road opposite the prison and park on the bridge).
Time: 10am-1pm with a break for refreshments.
Please wear suitable clothing for outdoor work.

    Join the Don Catchment Rivers Trust as we team up with Sheffield City Council to put mulch down around the trees we planted back in January. This is in Linley Bank Meadows (within Shire Brook Valley Nature Reserve). We will be hauling mulch out of the truck and putting it around the trees to suppress weeds, keep moisture locked in the soil, and it rots down to feed the trees. Please note this event can be postponed in the event of bad weather, please let us know if you intend on attending so we can update you.

     

    When: Wednesday 26th March, 10am-12pm

     

    Where: We will be meeting at the nature reserve car park just off Beighton Road. It has locked gates which will be open for our group.

    What to expect: We will be working in the meadow to put down mulch around new trees. The Council will be running the day and will provide all equipment and training.

    Where: We will be meeting on the lay by, adjacent to the fishing ponds of Pinchmill Fishery (Pinchmill Farm, Wickersley, Rotherham S60 4NJ)
