POSTPONED Citizen Science: Identification Workshop

21-11-19 10:00 - 16:00
Dunston House
Address: 0 Sheepbridge Ln, Dunston Rd, Chesterfield S41 9QD, UK

PLEASE NOTE THIS WORKSHOP HAS BEEN POSTPONED
Flooding has meant we have been unable to survey

Help DCRT monitor the river Rother’s diversity, before and after restoration work. In this workshop we will be sorting through collected kick-samples, identifying and recording the abundance of freshwater invertebrate specimens, with a particular focus on identifying families. Please note this is not a training course, although help is given and there is lots to learn. The ability to use biological identification keys is useful, but not essential and beginners are welcome.

Microscopes will be on hand for some of the identification.

Led by Paul Hancock & Sally Hyslop
