Join the Friends of the Don Valley Way as we work to clean the Bentley Mill Dike. We will be working both in the channel and along the banks of the stream.
When: Meeting at 10am and finishing at 1pm.
Where: Parking is on Limbreck Court road. There is other on street parking in the area and free parking at the pavilion. Just be careful when crossing the busy main road!
Task for the day: We will start the day with a tool talk and risk assessment.
We’ll then make our way up stream removing litter and debris from the Mill Dike.
Waders, life jackets and protective gear is provided to volunteers. If you are litter picking around the river (not wading) we recommend wearing sturdy shoes and clothing suitable for outdoor work.
All waders and shoes are cleaned at the end of the day.
Teabreak: We will be stopping half way through for a tea break, refreshments are provided.
If you are not yet signed up as a volunteer please email volunteer@dcrt.org.uk to become a volunteer. We will be following all Government guidelines in relation to COVID 19 at the time of the event.
