!CANCELLED! Meadow Sowing at Grassmoor Country Park

22-10-22 10:00 - 13:00
Grassmoor Country Park
Address: Grassmoor Country Park, Birkin Lane, Chesterfield, S42 5DA

Unfortunately, with heavy rain and storms forecast on Sunday we have postponed this event as any seed sown is likely to be washed away! Our next meadow sowing days at Grassmoor will be on Thursday 27th October and Thursday 3rd November, 10am-1pm.

Help us sow the meadows of Grassmoor Country park!
We’ll be sowing meadow seed onto the newly created features in the park that will help slow the flow of storm waters into the river network and diversify the wildlife habitat within the park.

When: Saturday 22nd October, 10am-1pm

Where: Grassmoor Country Park, meeting in the south car park off Birkin Lane, S42 5DA (parking is free)

What to bring: Walking boots or wellies that you don’t mind getting a bit muddy!

Joining us? All welcome! Please let us know if you’ll be coming so we can plan accordingly – email [email protected]. If heavy rain is forecast during or after sowing, we may need to postpone the event so please keep an eye on our social media if the weather is looking dodgy! We will also email you if we need to postpone if you’ve been in touch to let us know you’re coming.
