Join the Friends of the Don Valley way has we replace missing waymarkers on the Don Valley Way from Meadowhall – Sheffield.

Location: We will be meeting at Meadowhall station at 10am and walking to Sheffield Station where we will get the train back to Meadowhall.

Timings: We will be meeting at 10am (Please note I can not be certain when this event will end).

Tasks: We will be walking the section of the Don Valley Way and putting in Waymarkers so that future users of the route can find their way.

Please wear suitable clothing for outdoor work including walking boot and a coat/ waterproofs. All equipment will be provided on the day.

    Join the Don Catchment Rivers Trust and learn about wetland management and conservation. We will be using tools to remove trees and making habitat piles. You will also get a chance to do some willow weaving and make a star to take home. Hot drinks and snacks provided, plus optional Breakfast and chance to see behind the scenes at our office before the day!

    When: We will be meeting at 10am at the Don Catchment Rivers Trust office and will return to the office before 3pm. We can also provide a lift from Doncaster train station at the start and end of the day if you let us know in advance. You can also alternatively meet us on the Hexthorpe Ings site at 11am.

    If you are between the ages of 13-15, please ask your parent/guardian to get in touch to complete a parental consent form. You can come along without a parent, however we do require signed permission from a parent or guardian in advance.

    If you are aged 16+ please let the DCRT team know if you wish to help out on our events so we can get you signed up as a volunteer. Written permission is not required but please let your parent or guardian know you are planning on attending and give them our details.
