Wildlife Wednesday Moss Valley

Join the Don Catchment Rivers Trust as we tackle the invasive plant species Himalayan Balsam along the banks of the Moss Brook.

On the day we will be meeting at 10am and finishing at 3pm. We will complete a risk assessment on the day to ensure the safety of all volunteers. We will be stopping half way through for a tea break. On the day you will need to bring appropriate outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear. We can provide wellingtons and waders however we won’t be able to provide footwear for every volunteer.

    When: Thursday 2nd May 2024 10am – 1pm

    What to bring: We provide all of the equipment on the day however please wear suitable clothing for outdoor work including sturdy shoes or boots and long trousers.     What to expect: We will be walking along the paths in the wood, collecting litter and brining it back up to the road. We will have a break at 11:30 am for refreshments and biscuits, provided by DCRT. 

     

    Joining us? All are welcome however not all of our sites are completely accessible to all, please check the access advice below.     When: Thursday 9th May 2024, 10am – 1pm

    When: Thursday 16th May 2024, 10am – 1pm

     

    Where: Meet near the junction of Camlough Walk and Wain Avenue. The van will be just up Camlough lane where there is free parking/no double yellow lines.
